Autumn, the season of golden leaves, cosy socks, and the scent of pumpkin spice filling the air, is here. There's something undeniably whimsical about this time of year that brings out the cosy, creative side in all of us. And if there's one thing that's become synonymous with Autumn, it's the combination of pumpkins and candles.Together with Eimear Campbell, we made a one of a kind workshop to celebrate this cosy pairing. Here are five reasons why we think Autumn is the most perfect season.
1. The Autumnal Colour Palette
Autumn is a season of warm and inviting colors. The earthy hues of red, orange, and brown that surround us make it the ideal time to indulge in the cosy and comforting atmosphere created by candles. The soft, flickering glow of a candle perfectly complements the warm, vibrant tones of the season, creating a harmonious and comforting blend. We both love the warm tones that are the signature of this season but even the more audacious shades of deep blue complement this pallet of colours.
2. Pumpkin Spice All Around
Pumpkin spice, the beloved autumn flavour, is everywhere during this season. I spend the whole year waiting for September so I can have pumpkin spice EVERYTHING. From lattes to pies, it's goes well with so many things. So why not infuse your living space with this warm and cosy scent? Candle makers often capture the essence of pumpkin spice, allowing you to enjoy the warm combinations of cinnamon and other spices all day long. In our workshop, we'll mixing and pouring 12 mini pumpkin spice wax melts and you'll get to paint two little faux pumpkins which is the perfect way to turn your home into an Autumn haven.
3. Cosy Evenings at Home
As the days grow shorter and the air gets cooler, there's nothing like coming home to a cosy and warm-lit space. Candles have an almost magical ability to create an atmosphere that feels welcoming. Whether you're snuggled up with a good book, enjoying a movie night, winding down after a long day, or even painting beautiful landscapes like Eimear, the soft glow of candles can make your evenings all the more special. Even the tiniest flame of a wax melt burner makes any room more inviting and comfortable.
4. DIY Creativity
Autumn inspires creativity. The changing landscapes and the abundance of pumpkins serve as a muse for artists, crafters, and all DIY people. Our two-part workshop offers a fantastic opportunity to explore that creative side. Making pumpkin wax melts and painting faux pumpkins with your personal touch is a wonderful way to embrace the season.
5. Community and Togetherness
Autumn is a season that fosters a sense of community and togetherness. It's a time when people meet up all dressed up for Halloween, long walks in the woods and visits to pumpkin patches to of course do a little pumpkin carving. We carefully chosen Boundary Brewery to host our workshop because we both love the space and spirit of community they harbour there. We want to offer a chance to connect with other cool like minded people, indulge in your creative passions, and celebrate the essence of Autumn all while appreciating a locally produced beer.
